I have always felt like an artistic person, I used to make a lot of arts and crafts and enjoyed working with my hands. Origami was my escape from whatever when I was young
In my senior year of highschool, I took art as an elective.
I always love a good and took after my dad's affinity for moleskin notebooks. But I could help but feel that no matter where where I bought them, or how much money I spent on them, I never filled up more than a couple pages. they lacked personality. It was in this art class that I decided to tackle a few problems at once:
- The first project was allowed to be any medium and I didn't know what I wanted to make
- If I make a notebook with no-bleed paper then I can use it to make the rest of my art projects and I'd be more encouraged to make better art because:
- Handmade == sentimental which means I'd be more likely to fill it with journaling material and art
That year I made my first journal
